Are We Blind?
As history unfolds in front of our eyes, what are you thinking? What actions are you taking? We see so many politicians and normal everyday people doing things we would have never imagined two months ago. Why is this taking place? What has changed that so many over the last year have resorted to violence and pure outright hatred for those who disagree with them. I would have never thought that big tech would censure our speech, much less force a company like Parler out of business. What about the attack on our free speech from many in Congress, trying to ban ideas that they do not want to debate because they disagree? Whatever happened to the market place of ideas, where people gathered together, debated, studied, listened to others, and were willing to give a bit to push the topic in a positive direction for all.
I ask the question again, why is this happening? Well, I do not have all the answers, but what I would suggest, is that all these people are being forced to show who they really are deep down inside. They are showing the person they truly are; they are displaying what they believe in, the state of their heart, and the agenda they are following. Many are showing they do not believe in anything; they are just puppets of the mob or following the system. They are showing that they give in to the loudest voice, and they have no foundational belief system. They may be scared of others’ opinions, want their acceptance, and want to be part of a group (the reason many young people get involved in gangs). Or they truly have another agenda, an agenda of socialism, Marxism, or wanting to implement parts of Islam, since they have been influenced by Islam.
No matter the reason, our freedom is being taken away, one step at a time, do not be naïve, make no mistake, it is being taken away. I once believe that the “silent majority” of conservative people in the United States would stand up, and overwhelm those who desire to take our freedom away. But the sad truth is, the “silent majority” does not exist anymore, and it is up to us to step-up and share the love of our Lord Jesus Christ with our neighbors, those who are lost, those who are confused, those who have truly evil agendas (what a wonderful time to be a God fearing Christian).
What are you doing to further the Gospel Message? Are you praying for our nation, your neighbor, are you addressing the hard topics with family and friends, are you sharing in love, not in anger, even if it is painful?
In times like these it is important to remember Mark 12:28-33 (NIV):
“28 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” 29 “The most important one, “answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” 32 “Well said, teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. 33 To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.” 34 When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions.
So, what are you waiting for? Let’s get out into the world and show them what the true Gospel is all about! It is time for a Revival…
